MEMO: I Quit

As a person who is the complete opposite of a home body, I love to be the social butterfly. I love to be at any exciting party or event. I also love sports. Here’s the story. After hosting a lavish baby shower for one of my dear friends, many people suggested that I really think about making this a career because it looked so professional and was very well planned. After returning to my job at a sports management agency, where I was receiving a very comfortable salary, decided why not? Why not up and leave and do something I really enjoy doing? I packed up my things in my office and typed a memo to all my coworkers including my boss that read I QUIT!!!!! That was probably not the best route to take, but I was feeling adventurous that day because I decided to leave the comfort of an office job and start a business of my own. I used my contacts that I met while working at the sports management agency and I began securing jobs by doing birthday parties for some of the children of the athletes. Every situation you encounter is a chance for networking. Slowly but surely, My business has grown into a very profitable venture that I am very passionate about and I have fun going to work.
